Our Darling Victorian Mourning Casket Plaque - Pewter - MISFIT

Death, grief, mourning and loss has weighed heavily on me this season. But death is part of life, it is a great cycle that gifts meaning and gravity to our love & joys.

I have long been enamoured with Victorian mourning rituals and items. When I came across an antique Our Darling casket plaque I knew immediately I needed to cast a mold so I could create with it. In addition to the casket plaque I’ve also cast some Victorian mourning hand clasps molds. Hanging from the hand is an oval plaque topped with the 3D casket plaque reproduction. These have been a labour of love and a balm to me as I grief the loss of a parent and deal with grave medical issues my life partner must face.

⚠️ These are MISFIT plaques they both have small flaws or irregularities such as uneven mica application on the pewter pieces, the plaque may be off centre, or the edge is sanded a bit more than on others, the price reflects these issues.
